There are a number of entertainment mediums that will be involved within the program, the video game industry among them. Sony will reportedly be putting 1000 PS3's, and copies of Little Big Planet in libraries across the country. Costume levels will be developed within the game to focus on Math and Science education.

Along with Sony's initiative, the Stem National Video Game Competition will involve a $300,000 educational game design challenge. The challenge will be focused on designing education games for 3 age brackets ranging from 4 to 16. Kotaku is reporting that the details on the challenge will be announced by the ESA in early 2010.

The program will also have volunteer help form the likes of Discovery Channel, and Sesame Street who will be dedicating specific portions of their programming to Math and Science.
