It was months ago that SEGA first announced a cover for amystery game they were developing known as Project Needlemouse. This morning SEGA unveiled that game to be none other than Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and although many were predicting that, it doesn't make the announcement any less momentous.



Although we had our assumptions, there are few who could have guessed that the game behind Needlemouse would be the next installment in SEGA's long deceased flagship franchise.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 will launch this summer, and will be available for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and WiiWare. You can head over to the official site at www.sonicthehedgehog4.com and check out all the goodies for it there.
