Since it was first announced, Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Conviction has suffered delay after delay. Although that extra time has undoubtedly been used to improve the game, fans have grown weary of the repeated shifting of the release date.

Ubisoft has announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction has an official release date, and this time it is literally set in stone. In order to make it clear that Splinter Cell: Conviction would not be delayed again Ubisoft has released a batch of stones with the games release date carved into them.

You can see one of the stones on a TwitPic that Ubisoft uploaded recently, and even read one of Ubisoft's Tweets on the date if you are not quite convinced. It seems this time fans will not be disappointed.

Expect Splinter Cell: Conviction April, 13 for Xbox 360 and PC.
