"We are opening the door to incredible experiences for gamers and enormous opportunities for developers and publishers."

OnLive Game Service will be available to users in the 48 contiguous States and will start at a $14.95 monthly fee, which does not include the purchase or renting of games. The first 25,000 to register will get the service fee for the first three months waived.

The first group of publishers to offer games for OnLive Game Service include Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, 2K Games, THQ, and Warner Brother Interactive Entertainment. Some of the first games to grace the platform will be Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age Origins, Assassin's Creed II, Prince of Persian the Forgotten Sands, Borderlands, and Metro 2033.

OnLive will also announce availability for the MicroConsole TV Adapter for HDTV sometime later in the year.
