Today the latest trailer for Halo 3:ODST was released, and it is stunning! There were no cut scenes in the trailer, and there wasn't any game play either. Why then, has it got fans so excited? It is an entirely live action trailer for the game, that in some odd way shows what could have been if the Halo movie took off.

The trailer opens with a funeral of a fallen soldier, and then cuts to a young man enlisting into the ODST. It shows his fumbling through boot camp training until he reaches his first drop ship battle, and that is when the trailer gets good.
