Here are 2 posters Disney just released for its upcoming film adaptation of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Below you will see Jake Gyllenhaal as prince Dastan in one poster, and Gemma Arterton as princess Tamina in the other. The plot mirrors that of the video game, in which Prince Dastan must team up with Princess Tamina in order to protect a dagger that gives its holder the ability to manipulate time. Directed by Mike Newell, POP is expected to be one of the major summer releases of 2010, and it may be, dare a say, a video game based film worth the ticket price. The film also stars Alfred Molina and Sir Ben Kingsley and that should be reason enough to check it out.
