Great Caesar's ghost! Sam Raimi, the man that brought us the Evil Dead series and Spiderman, has reportedly signed on to direct a live action film adaption of World of WarCraft. Legendary pictures will be working with Blizzard Entertainment on the film, with Warner Brothers as the distributer. The team has also brought on "The Dark Knight" producer Charles Roven. Even if you have your doubts about a Wow film, you must admit, the team behind it is impressive!


Raimi just finished his return to horror, Drag me To Hell, which was well received by critics and movie goers. He is currently working on Spiderman 4, which should begin shooting next year. He will start work on World of WarCraft shortly after. "At its core, 'Warcraft' is a fantastic, action-packed story," Raimi stated.

With the on line population of Wow at 11million, and Warth of Lich King breaking sales records, a multi million dollar film franchise is all Blizzard needs to bring its earnings to "insane" status. Any day now Blizzard is going to declare themselves and independent nation! I am sure President Obama will begin talks with them soon.
