The Symbian^4 video Debut

In an effort to be more competitive with the touch friendly OS of the Android and iPhone, Symbian decided to revamp their OS for the Symbian^4 UI. Today we are getting our first look at the S^4, and it is not as impressive as many had assumed.

The video debut for the Symbian^4 has left many feeling somewhat underwhelmed. In the first video you will be seeing some homepage widgets, and the second features a photo app. Although the touch capabilities look great in the video, it seems the S^4 is not the complete Symbian OS overhaul it was expected to be.




The S^4 is not a bad looking UI mind you but it is not quite the mind blowing mobile OS that fans had thought it would be. Symbian still has plenty of time to tweak the S^4, as it is not set for release until later in 2010, so we may see a much more impressive UI by that time.
