Steve Jobs to start off WWDC 2010 with keynote

Today Apple has silenced the doubts of fan boys everywhere, and confirmed that Steve Jobs will officially be appearing at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference. The Apple CEO will kick off the event on Monday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m with a keynote address.

Smartphone developer, Palm is reportedly putting itself up for sale and will be taking offers as early as this week. The company had been eclipsed for some time by the boom of the iPhone but has sadly not been able to rebound with the launch of the Palm Pre and Pixi phones.

Thanks to you Blu-ray loving folks, Blu-ray sales have increased by nearly 70% in the first quarter of 2010. In response, the Blu-ray Disc Association has decided to increase the max capacity of those nifty high-definition discs. Cool, right? No, not really, seeming as those new high-capacity formats will not be compatible with whatever existing Blu-ray player you currently own.
