Today TiVo announced two new boxes that will have Internet connection. The TiVo Premiere, and Premiere XL will feature a new HD interface that will allow you to browser cable TV, movies on demand, and the Internet.
The Premiere boxes will allow you to view cable TV, as well as movies on demand from Netflix, Amazon, and Blockbuster. You will also have the option to browse videos on the web with YouTube. Rhapsody music is also available, and a Pandora integration is in the works.
The Premiere Box will offer a 320 GB, and 45 hours of HD programming or 400 hours of standard-def. The Premiere XL Box will have 1TB storage, and 150 hours of HD programming or 1350 hours of standard-def. Both however, will broadcast in 1080p, and feature an on-screen meter for viewing recording space (joy).
The TiVo Premiere and Premiere XL boxes will be available in early April. You can pre-order both at TiVo.com for $299.99, and $499.99.
