Just a few days following Facebook's 6th anniversary, the social media site has announced that they have updated their photo uploader. It is a much needed update for the users, and a bit of a departure from form as the new uploader is now a plug-in.
The main motivation for the update has come from user complaints about confusion and difficulty using the system. Facebook stated " we've received feedback that people struggle with our current photo uploader due to various technical issues."
Once you have upgraded, the new photo uploader will be activated, and the first thing you will notice is that the new system will allow you to connect to your hard drive and view your photos before upload. Another interesting feature is that you will be able to now navigate away from the page or even your browser while you are uploading.
The upgrade will be rolling out slowly to users, and you will be notified via a pop up once available to you.
